Laser Beam Viewer, handheld camera with 7-inch display

The Laser Beam Viewer is a handheld camera built for seeing laser beams during alignment and day-to-day operation. A large display shows exactly where the beam is going, alongside the mounts and optics around it. Adjustable color palettes are matched for viewing with laser safety eyewear. You never have to lift your goggles to peek. The eyewear stays on for the whole alignment. The C-mount zoom lens is interchangeable, and the default lens even resolves dust particles on optical surfaces.

Technical Specifications

Built around a global shutter CMOS sensor, the Laser Beam Viewer shows the image on a 7" screen held at arm's length. Most IR viewers use an eyepiece, which limits the view and can be awkward with laser safety glasses. Here, the beam and the optical table are visible at the same time, with both eyes, so alignment feels natural.

Laser Beam Viewer in Action

Alignment Tool

The laser beam viewer allows simultaneous viewing of the laser beam and other objects such as irises or alignment fiducials. This assists with alignment of laser beam while keeping the full setup in view.

High Sensitivity

The sensor picks up faint scatter from optical surfaces, so you can see the beam on mirrors and lenses, and spot dust or damage.

Beam Tracing

A wide field of view makes it easy to follow the beam through the whole setup, without fluorescent viewing cards.
